Manic Street Preachers @ Empire, 24 Sept 2013

Back in the saddle with quite a corker - Manic Street Preachers at the Empire. I worked there for about 12 years in various guises so it's a bit of a home from home. Cheeky beer afterwards and caught up with a few old faces.

Lots of red which is always a problem but the black and white edits are pretty awesome.

Richard Hawley @ Somerset House, 14 July 2013

I love shooting at Somerset House - always a great venue and Hawley was on top form here. He managed to take the piss out of a heckler, the beer prices, George Osborne and David Cameron - all during the first three songs that I was there for. Quite the showman.

Your first DSLR - the advice that everyone asks me for

If you're always going to use a DLSR on automatic then there's not much point in having one. Get one of the micro four-thirds cameras. They're smaller, you can use them as a point and click, but you'll get decent image quality plus manual controls if you want them. Have a look at the Olympus Pen, the Nikon V1 or the Canon EOS M.

If you want to learn a bit about photography, how to learn the manual controls, then definitely get a DSLR.

Here's the key bit.
